August 14th, 2024- At You Got This, Kid! Leadership Foundation is one of our main priorities to foster the development of young leaders. We believe with resources and support, many young adults are able to pave the way for a better future in their respective fields. This is why our co-founder, Chuck Saia, lends his time sharing his insights of the business world and how to be a strong leader. He visited NC State for his third annual leadership presentation.
Chuck Saia is not only a co-founder here at YGTK, but a senior partner at Deloitte and a Board of Trustees member at Quinnipiac University. He has been in leadership positions for over 30 years. Outside of his corporate job, he is passionate about supporting young adults to grow into the strong leaders he knows they can become. This passion is the reason behind why he established our foundation and wrote the book “You Got This, Kid! Words of Advice for Young Leaders”.
His book, filled with animal analogies for the professional world, supports Lupus research and environmental sustainability through the Saia Family Fund with its proceeds. Students were able to share what experiences they personally have with the different animals in the book. From the strong mentors that are like “eagles” fostering their growth in their fields to the “scorpions” who represent toxic leaders. Students learned through his presentation about their individual “leadership footprint” and gained insight of how to navigate the working world with these different types of leaders around them. Through these events Chuck continues to interact with young future leaders and provides them with priceless lessons for their future.
